Primary Focus:

Rediscover closeness and connection.

It feels like you’ve lost something in your relationship. You struggle to connect with your partner. A once joyful relationship has become another source of stress. Sometimes partners disconnect, communication breaks down, and the spark is lost. We might question if we should even be with this person anymore.

When our closest relationships don’t feel right, we don’t feel right.

This is a fact of our biology, not a flaw of yours – we humans are wired for connection. When we don’t feel securely connected within our closest relationships, we are more likely to feel anxious, depressed, lonely and overwhelmed.

As a compassionate and attuned therapist, I’m here to help you make sense of the problematic patterns that have been undermining your best efforts to navigate your life and relationships. I bring wisdom and experience to guide you in navigating the turbulent emotional waters that arise when your most important relationships don’t feel right.

“Jenna helped my husband and I so much! She is warm, smart, and funny. We started with a different couples therapist and then went to see Jenna–best decision ever!”

“Jenna is the best! Our family benefitted greatly because of her excellence. Thank you Jenna!”

" I’ve had the privilege of watching Jenna work and she is both compassionate and intuitive. She joins her clients skillfully and with genuine care, while helping them reach their goals and undoing their aloneness in the process.

Jenna is constantly pushing herself to grow as a therapist by doing countless hours of additional training and supervision so that she can provide the absolute best care possible. Her clients are fortunate to have her in their corner."

Healing happens at the intersection of heart and head.

My Philosophy:

Emotions are like the body’s GPS. They give us insights into our needs and desires. They also guide us toward understanding, growth, and healing. By tuning in and understanding their messages, we can navigate relationships with more confidence in ourselves and more compassion and understanding for ourselves and others.

Secure relationships are essential for our well-being. In fact, as a species we’re wired for attachment. That’s why when issues come up in our relationship we feel so lost and overwhelmed. When our relationships feel secure and connected, we experience a sense of stability that allows us to thrive.

In my practice, I balance warmth and empathy with expert, directive guidance so that you have the safety and support that you need to reach your goals.

Befriending your emotional experience leads to a more fulfilling life.

Why I Became A Therapist

Therapy is my life’s work; the joy of fostering healing motivates me to join you, my clients, in working through the painful places on life’s journey.

My passion for individual and couple therapy come from my own life. From the childhood loss of a parent, I know what it is like to face world-shattering loss, to integrate it, and to heal into wholeness.

I bring my clients an empathic heart that knows the darkness and can guide others through it. The ending of an engagement in early adulthood motivated me to dive deep into the psychology of relationships to develop my couple therapy skills at a high level, and to continually deepen and hone my approach to bring sharpest possible tools that I can for helping others face relationship distress.

Now happily married, I know from the inside out how beneficial a healthy relationship is. Finally, I have had the privilege of receiving excellent therapy, which showed me just how profound and effective the process can be.

As a stepdaughter and a stepmother, I have a soft spot for working with blended families. My own experiences have acquainted me with the special challenges and pitfalls of stepfamily life and have grounded me in the knowledge that loving and healthy stepfamily relationships are achievable, enriching, and healing for all involved.

What to Expect in Therapy

Therapy with me is rooted in evidence-based models, applied with thoughtfulness, compassion and understanding.

In therapy with me, you can expect guidance and support in identifying the places you feel stuck and the internal and relational patterns that have kept you stuck, despite your best intentions.

You can expect compassion and non-judgment – I know that the stuckness you are experiencing didn’t arise because there is something wrong with you, but because life has taught you to protect yourself to survive.

You can expect me to both guide and follow you so that we can safely access and treat the painful emotional experiences that have been keeping you stuck. Finally, you can expect me to help you find and use the gifts inside those experiences.

You may be coming to therapy with the hope of learning skills. In therapy with me, you can expect to learn skills the natural way – by practicing new ways of relating to yourself and others in session that bring confidence in your ability to do so outside session.
